About the artist
My name is Anna Kawalec, and Bupu is the place where my art lives - painting and graphic work, fragrant with oil paint. The paintings I create and place in your hands are the result of my many years of fascination with nature and its beauty, and my love for animals - especially Polish birds.

Bupu?
The name of this site comes from my two dogs - Pufa and Bu. Wandering with them is how I soak in the beauty of nature, the scents and sounds of forests and mountains. Their space and extraordinary charm I later transfer onto canvas and paper, blending memories with paint.
Through my paintings — especially those depicting birds — I would like to show you the beauty of our native, feathered companions. Sometimes they hide among the leaves; other times they burst into flight with the unmistakable rush of wings cutting through the air. It is those fleeting moments I try to capture in my work.
